Stage|Set|Scenery 2017: SALZBRENNER media Attracts Large Crowds with Product Presentations, Lectures and a Stage Managers‘ Breakfast

Berlin, June 2017: In addition to displaying its products, services and new releases at Stage|Set|Scenery, the SALZBRENNER media specialist team hosted a Stage Managers‘ Breakfast and gave six presentations about POLARIS evolution and StageCast.

Food for Thought

For this year’s Stage|Set|Scenery, systems integrator SALZBRENNER media had prepared a colourful programme: at the SoundLab, Ismet Bozkurt, SALZBRENNER media’s Sales Manager for Eastern Europe and the Middle East, gave three presentations of the StageCast software for theatre applications. This intuitive solution enables theatres to make video recordings of rehearsals and premieres for artists and other users. With up to three simultaneous cameras, StageCast also provides simple edit functions and facilitates uploading the final results to a cloud location created specifically for the company in question. As soon the footage has been uploaded, authorized artists and staff are notified of its availability. They can log on with any web browser equipped device to view the corresponding video. With regard to copyright and artists‘ rights, the software implements a number of measures to prevent the footage being copied.

Here the focus was on reducing use of the multitude of separate devices and monitors for FOH – as it has grown in recent years – as well as minimizing set-up times to allow sound engineers to concentrate on creative processes instead of channel management.

Stage Managers‘ Breakfast a Big Success

Another highlight of the systems integrator’s trade show programme was the Stage Managers‘ Breakfast on the second day, a discussion platform about “Smartphone, tablet, stage manager console: will the purely touch-based user interface revolutionize stage management in the near future? Where is stage management headed? Which tools and apps will become a must for tomorrow’s stage managers?” In the animated get-together around 15 sound engineers, stage managers and other interested parties were able to share their ideas about the future of stage management in intensive discussions.

In between presentations, visitors to SALZBRENNER media’s booth were given the opportunity to discover current and forthcoming SALZBRENNER products and the systems integrator’s service portfolio. The INSPIration stage management console is currently focusing on integrating products from third-party manufacturers. For example, PoE speakers for receiving audio streams via a network, and intercom solutions manufactured by Clear-Com and Riedel. The audio specialists also explained the philosophy and mission of SALZBRENNER factory, a new brand created by SALZBRENNER for tailor-made solutions and custom devices.
