A flying start for STAGETEC's new self-op desk

Berlin, November 2010: Sound Engineers and installation specifiers who missed the IBC in Amsterdam should make time to visit the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP booth at Tonmeistertagung. Here, for the first time in Germany, the MEDIAGROUP presents its brand new radio broadcast console for self-op use, ON AIR 24, introduced to the market in September. The desk had a flying start, according to Dr. Klaus-Peter Scholz, Managing Director of STAGETEC: "We received very positive feedback from the market after the IBC. Now we are proud to show the desk for the first time in Germany", Mr. Scholz said. “At Tonmeistertagung we would like to emphasize the flexibility and diverse applications the desk has to offer.  We are not only addressing on-air staff in radio stations, but also recommending the comfortable and easy-to-use ON AIR 24 as suitable for more demanding tasks, for example in dubbing or voice over rooms“ he continued.

ON AIR 24 consists of very compact fader panels with four faders each, plus a monitor panel. The desk can be expanded from the smallest version, with just four faders, up to 24 faders. The modules are intended to be installed directly into the presenter’s table and can be arranged as desired around the table surface. This concept also supports more complex programmes, for example two-hander presentation or presenter with producer and occasional technical assistance.

An additional GUI-based PC software application enables the technical supervisor to prepare and support self-op use in the best possible way. The PC software makes many configuration options available and can even be used for full remote control. A conventional Ethernet connection or a USB cable is all that is required to link the ON AIR 24 to the PC. In a larger network with several ON AIR 24 consoles, the PC software can configure, monitor and remote control all of the attached mixers.

ON AIR 24 is available from now onwards.

The SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP is to be found on level +1 in Hall 4. There you will discover almost the entire MEDIAGROUP product range, including the DELEC Oratis communication systems, the AURUS, CRESCENDO, AURATUS, ON AIR 24 and TRIAGON mixing consoles, the NEXUS audio router and the VIVACE Virtual-Acoustics system. You will also have the opportunity to see the original Engineering Emmy® Award given to NEXUS this year.
The Tonmeistertagung takes place in the Congress Center Leipzig (Germany), from the 25th to the 28th of November 2010.
